{Do Me a Favor} Wedding Favors

It’s Marry Me Monday…but I think I’m gonna change it up just a little… I’ve been pinning a lot lately on Pinterest. Like, a lot. It’s very relaxing to me. Makes me feel creative…even when I’m not actually doing anything but sitting at the computer. And since I downloaded the app on my phone, I can pin at soccer practice, piano lessons, and anywhere else I sit and wait on kiddos. So….with Marry Me Monday in mind, I started a new board today. A board filled with wedding favors. It was fun. And I can’t help thinking that a lot of the favor ideas could be tweaked for lots of other events. {Marry Me Monday} A sweet little wedding favor

I know this is a little bit late since it’s Tuesday already…but too cute not to show. I finished up the updated candy bar box template and have some to show! I released this template a long time ago and it was formatted to fit money, too. Well, that was just a bit too awkward. This new box measures about 6.5″ long, almost 2.5″ tall, and a bit more than .25″ deep. The absolute perfect size to fit a standard sized chocolate bar. The perfect little box for a quick, easy, and inexpensive wedding favor. Plus, use digital papers or color it to match your wedding colors and personalize it with your date and initials for a very personal favor, too.

The template comes in many different formats for all kinds of users. The PSD file can be used with your photo editing software, the SVG and DXF files can be used with your Cricut (and additional software) or Silhouette digital die cut machine, and the PDF file can be printed and used as a pattern to use on pretty scrapbook paper. Also included is a step by step instruction sheet with photos! It’s here…and on sale.

I’ve gotta mention to that it’s a great little goody for birthday parties, showers, luncheons…even a special teacher treat!

{Marry Me Monday} Fun Gifts for the Wedding Couple

So I thought I’d browse around to see what’s out there right now. I haven’t looked around for wedding ideas now for about 15 years and all of our friends have been married about the same amount of time. But I can feel myself starting to get addicted to these ideas. There’s so many! I even bought a wedding magazine the other day…which, by the way, totally freaked out the hubby! I told him he didn’t have anything to worry about…for now! {evil laugh}

Anyhoo, here are some cute, simple, charming gift ideas I found this week.

First up, a Lisa Leonard bouquet charm. You just can’t go wrong with a design by Lisa. Seriously. Automatic home run in the gift department.

{Marry Me Monday} Mint to be

Lately, I’ve started to notice all the cute wedding ideas out there right now. I’ve been married for almost 15 years, so it’s not like I’ve been thinking about weddings lately. But my sister did get married last year and I had such a great time watching her get ready for and plundering through a lot of ideas to find the ones she wanted to use. I’ve also noticed that there are a lot of ideas for other occasions that can easily be modified to fit a wedding…easy, inexpensive, and personal little details that make the day special. So join me in Marry Me Mondays!

This week’s idea is one I’ve seen before (not sure where or I’d tell you). It’s a simple pack of Mentos mints. I removed the cover and measured it, making the exact same size document on my computer. I added some cute digital paper I made, printed out a tag and assembled. The foil was pink, so I left it, but I think you could easily just rewrap it in a thin silver foil, maybe even candy foil from the craft store. And I used my computer, but this would also be really easy to do with some cute scrapbook paper, too. Use a cute punch and handwrite the sentiment and the date for a very organic feel.
