{announcement} working on an exciting new site

eek! I just about can’t stand it any longer! I’ve got a new adventure in the works. I get asked by many of you what software I use and how I make printables. Would you like to learn?

It’s coming soon!

{new} (etsy} Owl be your Valentine…

…if you’ll be mine!   New in the etsy shop is the Owl candy bar box for Valentine’s Day! These are quick and easy for teacher, neighbor, and co-worker gifts…and would be great little treats for school!  These little boxes hold a full size Hershey’s chocolate bar.  yum!

The download is available in the etsy shop.  It comes with an instruction sheet, too, with several photos.  But, just in case, I even did a little video to show you how easy these are to assemble.

{Video Tutorial} Using our video tutorials

Well, Teacher Appreciation week is over.  Never fear, I have lots of printables in the works…backyard bbq, Father’s Day, last day of school.  This week I’ll be busy :)  While I’m working, don’t forget to check out the video tutorials I’ve made.  I don’t think my Texas twang came out too much…maybe I just sound funny on video to myself!

No more frayed ribbon…a quick tip video

I wanted to play along with Tip Junkie‘s Tip Me Tuesday and Works-For-Me Wednesdays.  I decided on a quick tip I’ve wanted to share for a while now…how to keep your ribbon from fraying!

Using Printables…a video tutorial

I am so excited about a new project.  Ali Edwards is having her annual Week in the Life scrap event this week.  One of her amazing sponsors is The Daily Digi.  Now, I love The Daily Digi.  I have been a long time fan, a monthly contributor, and I even help out each month with a hybrid project or two.  The Daily Digi has a new exclusive kit called Story of Everyday Life.  It’s a collaboration of at least 20 awesome digital scrapbook designers.  It is an absolutely beautiful kit packed with all kinds of projects.  My contribution to this project was some printable journal cards, a few svg files, and even a printable mini badge album.  You can find out how to get your hands on this kit on Ali’s giveaway page and also on The Daily Digi’s site.

I took the printable journal cards from the kit and made a little tutorial on how to use them in three different ways.  If you watch, let me know what you think :)

Ribbon Rosettes…a video tutorial

I have seen these little rosettes showing up all over the place…on headbands, on scrap pages and crafty projects, even on necklaces.  I’ve seen them made with paper, fabric, and ribbon.  I have a little bit of a different take on these easy, cute little embellishments.  Take a look…
