It’s a blog hop! Today I’m showcasing a great digital template designer. Kelleigh Ratzlaff makes the cutest templates. Basically, you just download, print, and assemble. These are not just for you digital scrapbookers. You can use your digital scrapping goodies, but you can also use traditional scrapbook paper, or print the box, cut it out, and use it as a template. She’s thought of everything from a bloom box to a memo box and she always has cute holiday templates like the carrot box and this cute little basket for Easter.
Recently, my husband and I were going out of town for a few days. My Mom offered to come up and stay with the kiddos…a win for me, the kids, and my Mom! Mom had some fun activities planned for each day. To help with the fun, I left a little treat for each day that related to the activity they would do that day. I used Kelleigh’s Tall Box Template to make boxes for each day to house the goodies. For instance, on Monday, the day we left, I dropped a Blockbuster gift card in the box so that they could both choose a movie or a game for that afternoon. For Tuesday, Nana planned a trip to the zoo and the kids got a bit of gift shop money in their box. You get the idea. The boxes were a big hit and gave the kiddos something to look forward to each day and left a little reminder of Mom each day, too. Plus, it made me feel better for leaving my kiddos behind.
I used simply.scrap’s new kit, Crazy But Cute and Roben-Marie’s Date Stamps. For my friends who don’t digi-scrap, I basically ‘decorated’ Kelleigh’s template with these digital goodies using my Photoshop program and then printed out the template already decorated. Then I just cut, scored, and assembled. So making 3 boxes for each kiddo really took no time at all. Like a said earlier, you could very easily print her design, cut it out, and use it as a template to trace onto any kind of paper, too. Easy peasy. Here’s Wednesday’s box…
Cute, right? There’s so much more to see! The blog hop is jam packed with some great eye candy that’s easy to make! There are 21 easy, fun projects being showcased today all over the web. How smart!!! You are a wonderful designer and a great mom! My kids don’t care for what I make for them anymore. Hmmm… maybe it’s because my projects are not cool as yours.
